St John's Lutheran Kindergarten

St John’s Lutheran Kindergarten Newtown is a place where children love learning.

St John’s Lutheran Kindergarten is a small regional kindergarten located in Newtown, set within our primary school, Geelong Lutheran College, St John’s Newtown Campus.

We have strong ties to our school and wider community and provide three and four-year old sessional Kindergarten.

Our educators provide a nurturing and holistic approach to education where children are inspired to explore, question and challenge the world around them. We treasure the unique nature of each child and strive to foster a child-centred education, providing a personalised approach with a sense of community that resonated throughout our kindergarten and College.

St John’s kindergarten offers a three and four year old kindergarten program with extended hours care.
St John’s kindergarten students have priority entry into Prep.

A FRAMEWORK FOR ALL CHILDREN IN VICTORIA 

The Victoria Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) guides early childhood professionals to work together with families in support of their children, embracing and responding to the cultural and linguistic diversity of the Victorian community and diverse approaches to child rearing. 

We plan for each child based on their interests and needs, and use the VEYLDF as a guide to ensure a developmentally appropriate and stimulating environment for learning.

We use Storypark to involve you in your child's learning.  

Storypark is an easy-to-use private online service that helps teachers, parents and families work together to record, share and extend children’s learning. 

We capture a child’s learning and development by posting photos, videos, stories, moments, notes and responses.
