SEMATICS SUCCESS AT SOUTH EAST NATIONALS

Podium finishes have again resulted for Geelong Lutheran College at the FIRST LEGO League South East National Championships. SEMATICS 101 won The Rising Star Award, as the judges identified the fledgling outfit as a team from which they expect great things in the future. The older cohort, SEMATICS 102, claimed the Robot Design Award. This award recognises a team using outstanding programming principles and solid engineering practices to develop a robot that is mechanically sound, durable, efficient and highly capable of performing challenging missions.

SEMATICS 102 was placed 5th and SEMATICS 101 was placed 9th for the Robot Game component of the competition out of 48 teams competing from across South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania.
