AC - LEGAL STUDIES

During 2020, due to COVID19 lockdown in Melbourne, the VCE Legal Studies class could not physically visit the courts. However, this week the class had the opportunity to participate in Law Week. Our VCE classes took part in two online webinars with County Court judges. The students were given the opportunity to send in questions for the judges to answer. The students will also have the chance to watch the recordings that they did not get to watch, next week. On Thursday the Zoom the students were part of the 'Dear Judge, please help!' session, with three current county judges. On Friday they participated in the live Q&A Zoom session with Chief Judge Kidd, of the County Court. He tackled questions such as “what happens if you disagree with the jury decision” and “what would you change about our legal system?”
