STEM Curiosity Blasts Off

It's been an exciting term in STEM classes (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) across both our St John's Newtown and Armstrong Creek campuses, with students diving into hands-on, engaging activities.

At GLC St John's Newtown, students have been captivated by Merge Cubes, bringing augmented reality (AR) into the classroom. This innovative technology allows children to hold and interact with 3D digital objects right in their hands. From examining the intricate layers of the Earth to holding the Sun and planets as if they were tangible, our students have been captivated by this immersive learning experience. This immersive experience has sparked incredible curiosity and helped make abstract scientific concepts come to life.

Meanwhile, over at GLC Armstrong Creek, our Year 2 students recently embraced their inner engineers by designing and building their very own rockets in STEM lessons. Week 8 saw a colourful display as these impressive rockets were launched from the Village Green, soaring into the air to great excitement from the class.

These activities are just a glimpse of how we're making STEM learning fun, interactive, and memorable for all our students.
