The temporary fencing is up, the site cleared and now the first sod has been turned on the GLC Armstrong Creek campus’ future resource hub, Concordia.
The new resource hub will include separate Primary and Secondary resource centres/library spaces, two classrooms, meeting rooms and staff facilities over two-stories. The Secondary Resource Centre will connect seamlessly to the Year 11 & 12 Centre, Ngarrwa, by a skybridge on the second floor.
The $7.2 million project is jointly funded by Geelong Lutheran College and the Victorian State Government, with $3 million funding from Round 2 of the Government’s Non-Government Schools Capital Fund.
We are looking forward to watching the building take shape over the next several months ahead of opening in 2026.
In other construction news, the campus’ new oval is under development on the other side of Ngarrwa. The oval will more than double the size of the campus’ outdoor green space and provide a full-size AFL oval to complement the existing soccer, volleyball fields and basketball/netball courts.
