Celebrating our strongest Year 12 results to date

Geelong Lutheran College is celebrating its best set of VCE results after the GLC Armstrong Creek Year 12 Class of 2025 received their final results this morning.

This year’s Year 12 cohort of 85 students is the College’s twelfth and largest Year 12 graduating class to date. A total of 70 students completed a scored VCE pathway, and 12 students completed the VCE Vocational Major pathway. This year’s results include the College’s highest-ever ATAR, first perfect Study Score, most ATARs over 90 and higher average and median ATAR than in 2024.

This year’s GLC Dux is Joy Im who attained an ATAR of 99.65. Among Joy’s results are six Study Scores over 40, including a perfect Study Score of 50 in History: Revolutions, 46 in Literature, 45 in Global Politics, 43 in German, 42 in General Mathematics and 41 in English.

On seeing her results this morning, Joy said, “I was surprised mostly when I saw my ATAR. I was very happy with my German and History Study Scores.”

Joy will be undertaking a Navy Officer Training year in 2026 before starting with ADFA studying a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Politics and Indo-Pacific Studies.

The GLC VCE Vocational Major Achiever for 2025 is Marcel Migliorelli. The VCE Vocational Major Achiever Award goes to the Year 12 student who achieved outstanding results and demonstrated the College’s values of Wisdom, Honour and Purpose throughout the Vocational Major program. Next year, Marcel will begin studying Audio Engineering, taking the first major step toward building a career in the music and audio industry

A summary of GLC’s 2025 VCE results can be found below:

ATARs:

  • Our DUX with the highest ATAR this year is: Joy – 99.65
  • Our median ATAR is 71.80
  • Our average ATAR is 71.08
  • 10.00% of our students earned an ATAR of over 90
  • 28.57% of our students earned an ATAR of over 80
  • 52.86% of our students earned an ATAR of over 70

STUDY SCORES:

Twelve students also achieved Study Scores over 40 in History: Revolutions, Literature, Product Design & Technology, General Mathematics, German, Biology, Drama, English, Health and Human Development, and Visual Communications & Design. This year’s mean Study Score was 31.
