A group of Year 10, 11 & 12 GLC Armstrong Creek students and staff had an unforgettable experience over the July holidays on our annual Cambodia Immersion and Service Experience.
They explored Phnom Penh's history, including the S21 Genocide Museum, took in the city's sites on cyclos and participated in the "Keeper for a Day" wildlife conservation program at the Free the Bears Fund sanctuary.
In Siem Reap, they made a real impact at Treak Community School, leading literacy days and assisting with projects, such as brick making and creating a mosaic artwork. They also explored the magnificent Angkor Wat and immersed themselves in local Khmer culture and cuisine.
Our students built strong bonds, a greater understanding of the world, and the importance of giving back over the course of the program, leaving them with memories that will last a lifetime.
