Viele Grüβe!

On Wednesday 23  August, the German VCE class travelled to the University of Melbourne to attend and partake in the annual Goethe Poetry Competition. Whilst reciting the poems was the main event of the day, students embraced the opportunity to educate themselves in Soviet-era German filmography and also learn about the potential university and career pathways via German Studies at the University of Melbourne. Participants also had access to a tour of the Parkville Campus to see where potential students could study. With the Uni Farmer’s Market, the communal atmosphere was strong and students were able to eat delicious food at the picturesque campus.

Overall, the German class were more than happy to get out and learn German in a different format, whilst enjoying each other’s company and meeting other like-minded German lovers!
