The School of Information Technology at Deakin University recently hosted a Maths Competition which tested the mathematical skills of 19 teams, comprised of 76 Year 10 students from different secondary schools across Geelong and Western Victoria. Held on Friday, 25 October the event was an exciting day of challenging competition for individuals and teams, testing their mathematical skills in novel ways. Students participated in solo and team events using their problem-solving skills to solve challenging mathematical problems. Congratulations to our two Year 10 Maths teams: Elissa, Grady, Zeke, Ned, Will, Alex, Shounak and Owen for representing the College at this event. The students found the competition a challenging, enjoyable and enriching experience.
