Primary Craft Club students have been making polymer bead necklaces which we will be selling on Tuesday 20 and Tuesday 27 June at lunch me and after school for $5 each.
The money raised will go towards Diversitat’s fundraising appeal to establish an Asylum Seeker and refugee drop in service in Geelong. The service is designed to provide direct assistance for refugees and Asylum Seekers who are not eligible for Australian Government funded services. The service will support hundreds of individuals and families in Greater Geelong and surrounding regions. Contrary to popular belief, not all Asylum Seekers and refugees are eligible to access specialist Government funded programs for life. This service will go some of the way to ensuring that these most vulnerable people will have access to specialist social workers and interpreters to help them to continue to transition into their life in Australia. Other than buying our necklaces, you can also help support the appeal by making a direct donation by following this link https://www.givenow.com.au/diversitatdropin and spread the word with family and friends.
